When creativity feels loud, scattered, and stuck
You have ideas. Plenty of them.
Often, the problem isn’t a lack of ideas —
it’s not having a clear way to choose between them.
You might be thinking...
“If I look at one more Pinterest board, I’ll feel even more confused.”
“I don’t want to copy — I want to make something original.”
“I don’t need more ideas. I need clarity.”
You’re right.
Good work doesn’t come from endless input.
It comes from enough input gathered with intention.
Picture this
-
You sit down to make something and you feel grounded.
-
You know what you're making, why and how you're making it
-
The noise quiets. Your hands know what to do. You begin.
How The 3Ss Work
The 3Ss are a simple thinking framework I use whenever I feel overwhelmed by choice.
STEP 1
Search Engine
Choose three sources of inspiration online or offline then stop.
No rabbit holes. No endless scrolling.
step 2
Someone Else
Ask people whose opinion you value and trust.
Borrow their insight, experience, and perspective.
STEP 3
Self
Return to what you already know.
Your experience and knowledge drawn from your memories, your taste, your reasons for making.
Simple Sources
Three inputs. One clear direction.
-
- without second guessing yourself
-
- without the overwhelm
-
- without wasting time + effort
-
- without fear + disappointment
This is how creativity gets unstuck
and you already do it naturally
You just needed it to have structure

Why I created this checklist
I value good relationships between women and men.
I believe that when we take the time to make something for someone, another love story is created.
My mother taught me to sew. She made clothes for me and my brothers, and I understand how it feels when someone who loves you makes something for you — it stays with you.
The 3Ss came from my own need for structure when ideas felt overwhelming.
They are a way to protect originality, honour experience, and create with meaning.
Worried that after downloading you still won't find the clarity you need?
I beg to differ...
You will have learnt how to choose enough.
You will have learnt how to get unstuck ...not by doing more....not by consuming more.
And all this for free.

FAQs
When do I use this?
Use the 3Ss Checklist when:
- Time is tight: You’ve promised a handmade gift and the deadline is close, but choosing between patterns, fabrics, and styles feels paralysing.
- Money is limited: You want to use what you already own or buy carefully, yet too many options make it hard to commit with confidence.
- Skills matter: You have ideas you love, but you need to choose a project that matches your current skill level so you actually get it made and enjoy doing so.
What exactly is included?
A clear and clean printable PDF checklist that guides you through the Search Engine, Someone Else, and Self framework with space to write, reflect, and decide.
I also take you through the framework in a video and provide a practical example of the difference going through it makes to the success of a sewing project.
Who is it for?
Primarily sewers and makers, but it works for anyone who wants to create thoughtful, original work without spinning around in idea generation.
How do I use it?
Print it and write on it. Ideas fire differently in the brain when we write them down.
Fill it out whenever you feel stuck, unsure where to start, or overwhelmed by ideas (a classic symptom for creatives!)
