Cottage Industry LicenceCancellation & Refunds
The Cottage Industry Licence is a digital product that grants the right to sell garments using a Jane Harbison Design Pattern. Once issued, this licence is non-refundable, regardless of whether or not the pattern has been used.
If purchased in error and not yet activated (i.e. no products sold or promoted), please contact us within 7 days to request a review.
Important Note:
Licences are non-transferable. If your business circumstances change, please get in touch to discuss alternative arrangements or to pause future access where appropriate. -
Can I transfer my licence to someone else?
No. Licences are non-transferable and are linked to the name and email address used at checkout. If a business is purchasing the licence for use by a staff member or instructor, please ensure the business name and the correct email address (the one used to purchase your sewing patterns) are entered at checkout.
This ensures both the licence and the purchased pattern appear in the same Hub account. If you’re unsure which email to use, feel free to contact us before purchasing.
-
Does the licence include updates if the pattern is revised or expanded later?
Yes. If the pattern is updated (e.g. with additional sizes, improved instructions, or revised tutorials), those updates will automatically be reflected in the Sewing Hub. You and your students will continue to have access to the latest version as long as you remain in good standing.
-
Can I change the pattern I selected after purchasing a licence?
Once a licence has been issued and access to the Sewing Hub granted, the selected pattern cannot be swapped or transferred to a different style. If you haven’t yet used your licence, please contact us within 7 days of purchase to request a review.
