    • I also understand you are worried about sizing. This is why every pattern comes with Finished Garment measurements which are based upon our Standardised Body Measurements found in the Size Chart on every product page. The difference between the Body and the Finished Garment measurements are designed with comfort in mind, so you have room to move. Full article on buying the right size pattern here.

  • What fabric should I make this pattern out of?

    • It depends on the purpose. The tutorials demonstrate using a cotton fabric.
    • The Men’s Formal Bundle works well with light to medium weight fabrics for shape. Use a medium weight cotton, linen or linen/cotton blend fabric, silk or satin.
    • If you are not sure which thread and needle type/size to use with silk or satin, use this Reference Guide.
    • Matching the fabric design at the seams makes for a more professional finish, so consider this when purchasing fabric meterage if you are using a patterned fabric. A plain colour fabric makes for easier sewing. Wash your fabric before cutting out your pattern pieces. Some natural fabrics will shrink 3-5%.
