Fabric Satin - Plaid Ice Blue
It can be hard to find luxurious fabric for men and more importantly have it look good on them. That is why I recommend to use this satin weave fabric to suit skin with a warm undertone. This timeless Plaid in Ice and Dark Blue with Ecru White will suit a primary colour type of “Spring”.
For garments this medium scale traditional plaid looks great in the Box Sleeve Robe, or pyjamas using the Camp Collar Shirt and Mid thigh Short combo. For homewares such as a satin pillowcase it breathes in an air of freshness to the room.

Satin weave 100% polyester fabric featuring vibrant colour, crisp detail and strong colour fastness. Ultra shiny look and a lovely feel that softens the more it’s washed.
- Satin is 147cm wide 75g per sq mtr. (gsm)
- Price is based on a per metre basis. 1 Unit = 1 metre of fabric.
- Estimated shrinkage: 0-1% in length and 1-2% in width. Wash before sewing.

I’m really excited to make this, but I want to make it special. My husband had a winter robe I bought him 30 years ago and while it is threadbare in parts he won’t part with it, so this summer robe needs to be the right fabric weight and colour. Still in the planning. Winter here in Australia so I have a little time for selection

The shorts turned out really well, the pattern was well presented and very easy to make with the aid of Jane's excellent step by step video tutorials. I enjoyed being part of the sew-along and look forward to more opportunities to participate and learn in this way. The fabric is lovely to work with and I'm looking forward to making more garments with Jane's amazing fabric designs.
I had the lovely opportunity to join into the Valentine's day sewalong this weekend. It was my first sewalong and I really enjoyed the experience. I've been sewing on and off for 25 years or so. Sewing is a solo hobby for me and joining a sew-along makes it more communal.
The shorts pattern was easy to understand and cut out of the lovely fabric which was included in my sew-along. Jane's step by step videos were excellent to follow along. I really liked how the shorts turned out. Definitely recommend this pattern and I will definitely join more sew-alongs!
I wanted to support a local designer. Jane was very responsive and supportive when I had difficulty interpreting the instructions, Jane was very open to changing things to make it easier to understand. In the end, the shirt fitted beautifully without any adjustments. I'm very happy with it.

How long will my fabric take to be delivered
- We aim to have your fabric to your door within 3 weeks of ordering. Busy periods, such as November-December may take longer.
- The fabric is printed by Spoonflower (US) and we are guided by their production and delivery schedule. Once it is printed and shipped a Tracking code is added to your order so you can follow its progress.
- The fabric is shipped directly from the printer to reduce on logistics, fabric waste and wrapping. All designed for a more sustainable impact on our precious planet.
- The fabric has been printed and tested for quality and colour prior to adding it to the shop. The fabric design in the picture is the one that will be delivered to the Delivery Address specified in your order.

Care Instructions For Satin Weave Fabric
Wash separately in cool water using a gentle machine cycle. Machine dry using a low temperature or permanent press setting and remove promptly to avoid wrinkles.
